Cider making
Making cider preserves not only apples, but the fellowship of friends and the glory of a late fall day. Sunday we gathered to grind, press and bottle cider. A few gallons are in a crock for cider vinegar that will bubble for a few months before it is ready. When the children grew bored, they ran across and down Blueberry Hill, a high ridge of a glacial morraine that looks out over our bog.
